Torrington Music and Arts Day Saturday 4 July - 10am until late
Come and share with us a wonderful fun day of music, dance, art and workshops spreading from The Plough throughout the town over a period of 12 hours. Kicking off at 10am at The Plough the day will be officially opened by Dr Harry Cramp with a celebratory poem read by performance poet Matt Black, who will then deliver poems around the town.
Organised by The Plough, with fundraising for the North Devon Hospice, this fun packed day will be sure to entertain and amuse you and your family with participatory music, street dance, banner making, samba and art workshops. There are stories, theatre, exhibitions, live music performances in the street and church, stand-up comedy, all culminating in a family ceilidh at 7pm. You can even catch glimpses of a rehearsal of ‘Oklahoma!’ by the Plough Senior Youth Theatre during the afternoon!

Also in July we give a welcome return to the hauntingly beautiful voice of Edwina Hayes, followed by the comedic talent of Patrick Monahan & Alan Seaman, a performance of spectacular outdoor theatre with Illyria, culminating in another concert at Rosemoor with the one and only Blues Band in August.
Our new programme will be out in early August so take a look at our exciting line-up for this autumn - you won't be disappointed! Call the Box Office on 01805 624624 for full details or to join or mailing list. We look forward to welcoming you at The Plough Arts Centre.
